Food Books That Inspire Me

 photo mybookshelf2_zps3d9cffa9.png

I have been wanting to put a list of all my cookbooks here for a long time. Finally, when a friend insisted really hard, I had to do it. She even suggested how I should go about it. So, here are all the awesome food books I own. My list is ever growing. So keep checking.

Your suggestions for books that I should add to my bookshelf, are welcome.

  1. Hi Arundhuti,

I needed your advice on something. I was thinking of buying "The Calcutta Cookbook," which is on your list. I just wanted to know if it was worth it, whether it had really good recipes or whether it was more about the history of Calcutta. I am sorta obsessed with Bengali food. I need a really good Bengali recipe book. Could you sugggest something?

    Thanks,

    Liz

    1. Liz, I would definitely recommend buying The Calcutta Cookbook if you're interested in Bengali cuisine and food of Calcutta. It does tell you about the history of the city, but at the same time it has 100+ authentic Bengali recipes. It's one of my favourite cookbooks I possess.
